Bungalow Asio
About Us

I'm Donna Coupard, owner and host of Bungalow Asio.
I have lived in Boulder since 1991, originally from the DC area. I'm a fine art painter (former dancer) and have an art gallery next door to Asio. I love gardening and I have enjoyed turning Bungalow Asio into a lush, vibrant refuge – I live to create connection and beauty in the world.
I’ve lived next door to what has become Bungalow Asio since 2000 and raised my daughter, Maya, here. I love this neighborhood because of the close-knit community and proximity to downtown. Since I live next door to Asio I am available to help make your time in Boulder as comfortable as possible, including providing insider tips on the best spots in town. The mountains, creeks, and trails, coupled with the thriving music, arts, and food scenes, make Boulder a great place to call home. I look forward to welcoming you.

I’m Maya Coupard LaLiberté, assistant manager of Bungalow Asio, and Donna’s daughter.
I was very fortunate to grow up in Boulder, a place that inspired my love of the outdoors and the arts, and has been foundational in creating my values of community and connection. I graduated from Smith College ‘18, and now teach and perform internationally as a professional dancer. I currently live in Western Massachusetts, but I love returning to Boulder as often as I can. It is always a treat to connect with guests at Asio, and many have become dear friends! I look forward to assisting you with your booking at Bungalow Asio and answering any questions that may arise.
